Senate Changes History
This is a pretty good summation of how the Senate changes history! It is a sad day after 224 years the dysfunction in Washington gets worse. Remind me why we changed how Senators were elected to the Senate. This group scrapes the bottom of the barrel in a long honorable institution. Despite all the pain in the past we never had to resort to the depths of a majority vote. It used to be you needed 60% to make it happen.
I would trade you both of North Carolina’s Senators for one like the late Jesse Helms. There was a man of honor and principle. No matter where you fell on the political spectrum you at least know where Jesse fell. I would advocate that we suffer from a lack of leadership. One of these days the current party in control of the Senate will reflect back and realize what a sad day it was when the Senate changes History.
