Rite of Passage
A Christian Parent should read this book to gain practical examples on how to honor their Godly children and transition them to adulthood. The author spends the first two chapters explaining his background and why he feels a rite of passage is important.
The middle chapters of the book details the ceremonies that he did for each of his four children. I felt like I was a participant at the ceremony. There are key points in each part that are outlined by the mentors that were involved.
The final two chapters help a Christian Parent plan their own rite of passage and the real world reflections on the authors ceremonies for his children.
A Christian Parent would be well served to implement the Rite of Passage for their own children. Throughout the book the author gives biblical facts to cement the process. I believe the author did a great job of writing a practical example. That to me is a testament to the author as it has inspired me to plan something for my own children.
