Preppers Patience is needed sometimes!

Preppers Patience

In today’s rapidly spinning world sometimes we have to resort to preppers patience. There generally will always be one more thing you need to purchase or do to be ready. It often is a changing goal as the bar changes. What you thought would be the end sometimes changes.

If someone is at the point where they consider themselves done then I would question if they really are prepared. Given that you need some preppers patience ensures that something will always need to be done. What works or is adequate today will often not be that way tommorrow. Perhaps it is a major life change like the addition of a child to the family or the care of a loved one.

It could be a simple thing such as learning abut a fiberglass blanket to put out grease fires in place of a fire extinguisher. There will always be some improvement, need, want, or change in technology that will cause us to be adapting and overcoming.

There was a saying during the Great Depression along the lines of “use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without” that is a great example of preppers patience. One has to be a patient person to adapt a lot of those things. It also will save you a tremendous amount of money.

There is saying in my household that started along the lines of money, but can mean and does explain so much more. “We did not get in this situation overnight and the fix will not be tommorrow.” This is a great statement and very typical of the reality. If you just started preparing you have to develop preppers patience that you will not be ready tommorrow. If you have lived as an adult for 15 years around the sun do you really think you will be ready in 1 trip as a prepper?

This dose of cold hard reality is needed for some and I encourage a little preppers patience for everyone. It is not if you are ready, but have you done something today that will prepare you better for the unknown tomorrow? Now get out there and do something to prepare for any event.
