Fossil River

Are you looking for a good read that has an interesting twist then look no further than Fossil River by Jock Miller? It will have you turning the page to see what happens next. It does have some predictable storylines and some that are just not realistic. However the author kept me turning the pages.

It a very interesting plot the United States of America is running out of oil because the Chinese struck a deal with OPEC to take priority of oil. There is a large deposit of oil found in the Noatak National Preserve and of course the lead Zoologist and his fearless Indian companion Brave Wolf discover a living fossil at about the same time.

This living Dinosaur has managed to decimate the elk and caribou herd and any human that gets within range. It even attacked the helicopter that our heroes flew in on. They of course call in an old girlfriend to positively identify the predator and instruct the Marines on how to deal with it so the nation can get their needed oil.

This was a very interesting read that is heavily slated to Science Fiction. I do not typically like the plots where there is such a happy ending and everything returns to normal. This event as outlined would mean a disaster to the future of the United States.

I think that Fossil River by Jock Miller is an enjoyable fun read that will entertain you and if you let your imagination wonder can be very useful to ruminate about peak oil theory.
