Return of the Cold War

In a reminder of what use to be the Russians are striking up the band and signaling a return of the Cold War. I was reading about 2 TU-95 Bear Bombers intercepted 50 miles from the Northern California coast. I had to look at the date to make sure it was not the 1980’s.

It is amazing to me that Russia all of a sudden thinks we will tolerate these type of antics. There once were Presidents that stood up to these tactics! That same type of leader can not be found in the White House.

Let us hope that someone decides to stand up and let Putin know that flying nuclear capable bombers that close to US soil will not be met with timid responses. The actual distance is up for International debate, however I am all for making the pilot wanting to turn back long before they get that close.
