Slowdown as Time Flies By
There are many things that we get caught up in but sometimes we need to slowdown as time flies by! It is amazing how quickly the earth seems to be spinning. Is it getting faster or is it just society running even faster than it used too.
I am pretty sure that the earth is not spinning faster, but the choices that we make are what give it the appearance of doing just that. It seems like as soon as you stop one thing or get one project is done there are two more that take it’s place. What can we do to get off this frantic pace? The first thing may be to disconnect from all the electrical influences in our lives.
While we are blessed with all the electrical things and the ability to enjoy them it was not that long ago our ancestors had their plate full. They spent the major portion of their day preparing and making a life on a homestead. Now we take it for granted that we can just run out to the store.
My challenge to all my readers is to put off the trip to the store and prepare like our ancestors did. I am not saying we have to do it everyday, but planning and thinking about it would be a good start. We do not have far to look. The Amish live this way as an example. I encourage you to make it a point to slowdown as time flies by!
