Christmas in Dixie

Christmas in Dixie

We have a great Christmas song today in Christmas in Dixie. I remember this becoming a favorite of mine as soon as I heard it. I talked previously about how I purchase at least one album of Christmas music a year.

Christmas in Dixie

a snowy picture for Tonight is Christmas

You can see in the picture above that occasionally here in North Carolina we can get some snow in the pines. That snowfall, which is the last good one we got, happened on December 26, 2010. This is the time of the year we celebrate Christmas in Dixie.

The recent cold reminds us that it is windy in Chicago. I have spent holidays in California, Indiana, Florida, Virginia, and North Carolina. I will take Christmas in Dixie every time. I look forward to North Carolina and a peaceful time.

By now in New York City.
There’s snow on the ground.
And out in California.
The sunshines’ falling down.
And maybe down in Memphis, Graceland’s all in lights.
And in Atlanta, Georgia, there’s peace on earth tonight.

Christmas in Dixie, it’s snowing in the pines.
Merry Christmas from Dixie to everyone tonight.

It’s windy in Chicago.
The kids are out of school.
There’s magic in Motown.
The city’s on the move.
In Jackson, Mississippi to Charlotte, Caroline.
And all across the Nation, it’s a peaceful Christmas time.

Christmas in Dixie, it’s snowing in the pines.
Merry Christmas from Dixie, to everyone tonight.
And from Fort Payne, Alabama.

God bless you all, We love ya,
Happy New Year, Good night, Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas tonight…
