The Tropical Storm known as Hurricane Sandy has taught me something that I have never seen before. Usually you have a tropical air mass, but this storm is so massive and coming so late in the year that we are still seeing the effects except this time it is a cold wind and rain. What has impacted the Coast of NC has delivered snow to the mountains of North Carolina.

Once again Highway 12 has been compromised. I guess once the wind subsides hopefully tomorrow we will see what the damage is. This storm is effecting us here in North Carolina at the same time it is hammering New York City. That is a huge storm and has found a way to teach us new things. God Bless those that have died as a result of the this storm.

May it be a lesson to prepare and be ready as it proves that it can deliver a wide spectrum of weather.
