Modern day Patrick Henry
It is past time for a modern day Patrick Henry. That is right the man that said “Give me Liberty or Give me Death” is needed. 2012 may very well be the last chance we have to peacefully change this country, There is a fundamental war going on in this country over the way it operates.
Today the nation looks to Iowa for the first bell weather of where it stands. A modern day Patrick Henry is needed if we want to save this Republic. Today the Republicans take center stage and the fine people of Iowa determine what style of government they prefer.
The issue of a strong Federal Government versus States Rights have been an issue since Independence was secured long ago. There were two camps back then the Federalist and the Anti-Federalist. It has been an issue for the entire history of the United States. I would say that the Federalist side has been in control for the last 100 years.
Whatever your political affiliation you can not argue that freedom and liberty have been trampled especially hard over the last 11 years. The liberties that have been lost with the passage of the Patriot Act and now the NDAA allows American citizens to be locked up without access to a trial or an indefinite time. The old saying goes those who give up liberty for security deserve neither rings true.

The war is actually begun! The next gale that sweeps from the north will bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms! Our brethren are already in the field! Why stand we here idle? What is it that gentlemen wish? What would they have? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!
The time is drawing near for this Republic. There is little time left. Is there a modern day Patrick Henry? The nation turns it eyes to Iowa to see if the brave people of Iowa will look through the smoke and vote for the one true champion of a smaller Federal government who actually has a plan to cut spending.
Today is the day that the nation learns whether Iowa chooses shackles and chains or do they cherish Liberty! I pray that the good Doctor is successful and we can restore our Republic! The Federalists have bankrupted this country and better days can only come from tacking! January 3, 2012 will reveal whether Iowa believed in a modern day Patrick Henry or continued the status quo.

Sorry, though Paul does have some great views on small government, the only Patrick Henry I”be seen was politically assassinated , Herman Cain.
Thanks for your inputs Del. I think that Herman Cain, Rick Perry, or Ron Paul are all better candidates than what is currently in office or running. I am not too familiar with Herman other than his 9/9/9 plan. I liked his practical experience and the fact that he was outside Washington.
Whatever we can get done to get shrink Washington and get the States back in control I am all for!
