Government Waste Proven

The first thought that came to my mind when I read the article detailing abuse was yet another government waste proven. This was an amazing case where the Federal employee was convicted of bilking the United States government of almost $1 million over a decade. Numerous people thought the employee was already retired yet they did not notice a $206,000 hit to their budget.

In the real world where people have to fight for their money instead of steal it from people I can almost guarantee you that a manager or owner is going to know where the payroll dollars. That is a lot of money to overlook. He got away with it for a long time as he was working with the CIA. Heaven forbid they actually check the story.

We should take comfort as supposedly this can only happen at the EPA. Yeah right I can only imagine that any Federal agency is ripe for the picking. It is yet another reason that the Federal government needs to be drastically reduced. They have proven time and time again that they will not reduce it themselves. Like we mentioned the other day this example of government waste proven is the perfect time for North Carolina to step up and say enough. Where are you states of courage? Stand up and tell Washington that the party is over!
