Disaster Planning
There has been a lot of attention given to Disaster Planning by Corporations and the Military, but can it help out an individual household? I think the answer is it certainly can save lives. The premise that one document or collection can be the end all solution is not realistic.
In a lot of corporations or the military it almost takes an act of Congress to change the SOP, but given the small scale of the household it will not be that rigid. The benefit is the peace of mind knowing you have worked and prepped for different events. It shows you have logically worked through different events. Ideally it should closely match your goals and lists we have talked about before.
One huge upside is that during the emotional and traumatic time of need it will present some solid options and action plans that were developed during a calm session. If nothing else you can read about different scenarios and choose the one that best fits your needs.
