Back to Homeschool
Even when we see the calendar days being ripped off the significance is noted when it is Back to Homeschool time. A scene that was played out in many places today as the children returned to their schoolwork. There were tales of caution to watch out for the school buses and preparations made to have children gone from the house for up to 10 hours.
There is one thing that my children look forward to and it is not spending 8+ hours a day away from home in school. They enjoy being in the comfort of their home while learning. There are times when we do move the schooling out of the house, but for the most part they are in a familiar environment prepared to do their best.
The public educational system as it is set up is not a positive gain to society. This system is what has given us the situation that we are in. The lack of core fundamental subjects being taught and the boredom often experienced by advanced students causes real concerns. I have no doubt if the local systems were allowed to higher and fire teachers and teach the courses the right way there would be an improvement.
One of the main concerns for me is the lack of basic understanding of many things such as the Federal Reserve and the monetary system. Often the children turned out by the system have a hard enough time making change if the Register dos not tell them what to give much less the concepts of fiat currency.
The ultimate downfall of a fiat currency is almost inevitable and one of the preparations should be what you are going to do to educate your children. We are already gaining the experience of teaching our children at home. It not only prepares us for the future it also allows us to have much more flexibility in the subject matter and how it is applied.
What are your plans to continue the education. For many people Back to Homeschool would pay dividends on many levels.
