Castaway Kid by R. B. Mitchell
Today we get to review a great book in Castaway Kid by R.B. Mitchell. This one caught my eye when I saw the Focus on the Family tag. After a few pages I was hooked. This book was a hard one to put down. The storyline and character development was amazing. You knew this one would have deep development as it is actually a memoir. The reality that little Rob, who is abandoned at age 3, may one day become something is a testament to the hopes and dreams of America and shows that hard work will get you there.
This is a great story that the author does a great job of painting the canvas to put you in the story. Thankfully the author found a relationship with Christ Jesus and realized we always have a home. This is one of those books that will certainly make you a better person after reading it if you keep it in mind.
I highly recommend that you read this book. It is hard to put down, but is a fascinating story that will have you looking at orphanages in a new light.
