Start of Revival

Do you know what today will hold? We will probably not know all of what will go on. Today I hope is the start of revival. There is a tremendous amount of talk and scaremongering that the end of the world is coming. Take your pick and someone has talked about the end of civilization is coming.

It certainly sounds good and is making some people money but do we really know what it entails. There will always be wars, famine, natural disasters, etc but there has always been. Leave no doubt in your mind I think we live in a precarious time as we are utterly dependent on a fragile technical world and the country is very divided with a monumental election coming this fall.

As concerned as I am the interworking of society I have a source for the truth and what will happen. The Bible tells us exactly what is going to happen and additionally warns us that no man knows the exact time. Their is comfort and safety in knowing, but their is a far better thing that God gave us. He graced us with salvation!

²⁸Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. ²⁹Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. ³⁰For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30

I know  without a doubt that God will give me rest and help carry my burden. There is a price to pay for that comfort though. We need to carry his message to the world. Today could be the day there is start of revival. The visionary Michael Catt says

“Revival has always historically been centered around the Word of God and obedience to the Word of God,” he points out. “It always is a movement of the Holy Spirit. It’s always birthed in prayer, [and] typically there’s a person that God uses — whether it’s a John Wesley, or a [George] Whitfield, or a Vance Havner, or whoever it might be, there is a person that God uses to spark within the Church a fire.“

Today my friends could be the start of revival in America. For today is the day that One Cry launches. Billed as a nationwide call for spiritual awakening it very well could be the start of revival. We know we need it and God will provide us a place to lay our burdens and help carry the weight if we know his son Jesus.
