In today’s world predicated on speed and money people have forgotten the art of easy survival shelters. Give me a tarp and some rope and I have slept through miserable conditions. Trust me when I say if you have been in it it will never be forgotten.

There is nothing special about easy survival shelters except it is for you to survive whatever you are dealing with. Given the rapid pace of our lives in today’s society and the fact that people think they must throw money at things or it is no good imagine my surprise when I was reminded the Boy Scouts still do it right.

No matter which program you choose you will be rewarded. It will cost you a little time and you certainly do not have to know everything to begin. One of the best things about Scouting is that the Boys lead the program as they get older. It is the job of the Adult leaders to help them and guide them.

The memories that you make helping teach young men how to survive and thrive in the outdoors and in life will change even the most hardened man. It is amazing what the young minds will think up next.
